Easy Saint Patrick's Day Earrings and Hair Clips (241:365)

I was at Micheal's recently and saw some green buttons for $1 a pack. I grabbed two packs, hoping to find some cute buttons inside.

I lucked out in the cute department and made some hair clips for myself and the little ladies, and a pair of emerald green earrings for myself and some clip-ons for Dee.

No one will be getting pinched around here on Thursday!

Pot Roast (151:365)

This morning before church I actually had a little free time.

A first.

So, I threw a pot roast into the crockpot.

Potatoes
Onions
Carrots
Cream of Mushroom soup
Roast
Packet of Onion Soup Mix

Cooked it up while we were gone and, voilĂ !, a delicious meal.

I also noticed the missionaries didn't have a meal for tonight, and, knowing I already had a delicious meal ready at home, I was able to have them come right over.

Planning ahead is awesome!
I need to do this more.
Lesson learned.

El Pato Deliciousness (111:365)

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51T1p06GFPL._SS280_.jpg

This + a Roast + 7 hours in a crockpot on low = AMAZING!

After cooking, shred up the meat and let it soak up the juices for a little while. Then eat it in a tortilla au natural. Don't put anything on it, just let the meat and seasonings do their thing.

I have to send a shout out to Scott's aunt Rea for introducing this delicacy to our family.
P.S. My favorite way to eat this is chopped up on some nachos.
I'm salivating just typing about it.

Pumpkin Cookies (109:365)

One of the best things about Fall is all the pumpkin food!
Today I made one of the best of all, Pumpkin cookies.
What is even better about it is that the recipe is SUPER EASY!
Mix 1 box Spice Cake Mix + 1 15 oz can Pumpkin + 1-2 cups Chocolate Chips ("optional" if you are a weirdo) + 1 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice (also optional, but they are much tastier with this).
Use a small ice cream scoop or a spoon that will make about a 2 TBS sized ball and fill your greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 F for 10-15 minutes.
I do mine for 15 because I am afraid of gooey insides.
That's it! So easy.

Goosey update: She is still super sick, with a continuous fever of below 100.3 F. Dee had a fever last weekend too for about 2 days, so I'm expecting Goose's to go down in the next day or so...I hope! She is such a calm and mild baby, even when sick, so luckily she hasn't had any coughing fits. As long as we keep her calm and do steam and all the other things the Dr. said to do, she is doing well and just trucking through her illness.

I must say, croup is the worst! Poor baby Goose.

Easy Peasy Headband for Dee (69:365)

I saw this idea somewhere online recently and decided to give it a try. Take two elastics and loop them together, then measure the ribbon around your head, taking into account the elastic length, and cut to size. Fold over the ribbon so the cut edge will be enclosed and do a quick stitch back and forth a couple of time to secure the ribbon to the elastics.
Viola! Enjoy your new hadband.
