Unearthing My Creative Space (230:365)

My creative space has succumbed to an avalanche of chaos and I spent my "free" time unearthing it today. Kind of a bummer job, but it helped me feel a little more motivated to start getting on some more projects.

I also made a giant list of all the projects I want to work on.

Baby Boy Blowout (166:365)

Scott watched my friend Heather's little baby boy today while she and I took someone out to lunch. (He volunteered to do it without my asking! - He's the best honey around!)

Our kids don't really have blowout diapers, but this little one does, so Scott had a lovely surprise after we left, yet handled it well. Poor little baby, he ended up in girl clothes for the ride home!

Decluttering (162:365)

You all know we got a garage yesterday. Well, today we started filling it up! Our house is becoming more zen-like. I can breath a little easier. We aren't done yet, but we cleared out a lot of stuff so far. I can already imagine all the space we are going to have and how we will be rearranging furniture and toys. 

Scott did all of the grunt work, carrying everything out like a mad man. He was so into it though! We are both really excited about having a more comfortable and inviting home. 

Hooray for calmer and cleaner spaces!

Garage, Garage, We are Getting a Garage! (161:365)

We thought this would never happen, but it has!

We need a place to store our stuff like we need more junk, but still,

it will be awesome to empty out our house a bit so we can breath (and move around)

better (and put the car in I guess...).

Yippee!

And it's our 6th Anniversary today. Hooray!

Cleaning the Chaos (123:365)

My mom is visiting so, of course, we went to Target
to celebrate (yesterday).

She bought us one of these sweet little things.

Now the toys in the living room are in here
 instead of under my feet.

...ahhh...

Much better.

Cleaning the Bathroom (81:365)

I've been avoiding cleaning the bathrooms for a while, feeling annoyed about how they get so dirty so quickly. I guess that's what happens when you have four people using them.

So, that's what I did today. I cleaned up those dirty bathrooms.

One of my favorite cleaning tools for the bathroom is the BathroomStone, found here. 

It works wonders on the hard water rings in your toilet.

Not that it's fun to use, but it cleans those rings super fast.

Do you have any cleaning tips to share?

I can use all the help I can get...

White Vinegar is my Pal (58:365)

Our washing machine stinketh. 

So I googled, and found these directions on how to clean it, which I never knew people actually did until recently. So, this was my first time cleaning my washing machine (a strange concept).

However, I didn't wipe it down as directed because I got busy and forgot, but it does smell better.

I think it's also a problem with our drain because sometimes a lovely odors wafts up at me from the drain while the washing machine is a washing.

Also, our drinking glasses have tons on spots on them from the hard water and our dishwasher, so I followed the manufacturers directions and ran a load of just glasses and hot water with 2 cups of distilled white vinegar and they came out like new!

White vinegar is my new cleaning pal.
